Michelle Stubbs – Managing Director
The current owner of Delamere Manor is former lawyer and businesswoman Michelle Stubbs. Originally from Southport, Michelle spent time in Liverpool and Manchester before purchasing Delamere Manor from former owner singer-songwriter Gary Barlow and settling in Cheshire.
Michelle is an accomplished event host and an avid entrepreneur, with a penchant for entertaining. Michelle’s other passions include travelling to exotic locations, such as Miami, India, Cambodia and Vietnam. As an animal lover, Michelle’s childhood dream was to pursue a career as a veterinarian, but her studies took her down various alternate paths, including law and interior design. Having also studied fitness instruction, nowadays Michelle enjoys keeping fit at the gym and keeping track of her favourite football team, Everton FC.
With such a colourful set of experiences under her belt, Michelle has, nevertheless, maintained her love of animals, and enjoys horse riding in her spare time.
Dale McNally – Customer Relations Director
Since joining the Delamere Manor team four years ago, Dale has made full use of his expertise in the hospitality industry by settling into his customer liaison role. Dale has a comprehensive background in a wide variety of event responsibilities, which is evident in his capacity to thrive in a busy environment.
As one of the first faces you’ll meet when arriving at Delamere Manor, Dale is passionate about his role in providing excellent customer service, forming connections with clients and working with couples to establish the groundwork for their ideal weddings. Dale’s talent for the personal touch spills over into his spare time, as he enjoys countryside retreats with his family and dogs. An avid theatre goer, Dale’s love of the arts adds an extra depth to his experiences in the event industry.
Joy Hitchen – Events Manager
At the heart of Delamere Manor is the weddings themselves, and this is where Joy Hitchen comes into her own, as Delamere Manor’s head of events. Joy has been an integral part of the team for several years, and her dedication and skills in making dreams into reality are testimony to the popularity of Delamere Manor as one of the top wedding venues in Cheshire.
Joy’s initial foray into the hospitality industry began with working for a private five-star airline, which gave her a taste for events and customer service, making her a perfect fit for Delamere Manor. In her spare time, despite having spent many years travelling the world, Joy is happiest when walking along the many beaches of the great British coast, accompanied by her faithful dog Stanley.
Donna Courtney – House Manager
A large and lavish venue such as Delamere Manor requires a manager with meticulous organisational skills and an eye for perfection, and this is Donna Courtney’s role within the Delamere Manor team. Ensuring guests are comfortable and relaxed before their big day is her speciality. Donna is responsible for overseeing everything, from the preparation of the rooms to ensuring the building is perfectly presented ready to welcome guests.
Donna’s attention to detail is a crucial part of what makes a Delamere Manor wedding such a luxurious experience. On event days, Donna’s teamwork skills, which she acquired during her previous job role in customer service senior management, keeps weddings and parties running smoothly.
Gemma McTigue – Financial Controller
Delamere Manor’s budgets and accounts are well taken care of by Gemma McTigue. Her 10-year background in finance enables her to balance the books enthusiastically and accurately, with her specialist knowledge of cash flow management making her a perfect fifth member of the Delamere Manor team. Maintaining the payroll is one of Gemma’s main duties, and the day-to-day handling of income and expenditure is kept on track due to her skills in handling income and expenditure.
It is thanks to Gemma’s excellent knack for analysis and keeping on top of financial forecasting that Delamere Manor’s system moves with the times, staying abreast of trends. Gemma’s dedication to constantly improving and adapting the venue’s accounting system to the current climate enables the rest of the team to work confidently. and it ensures all events are well-organised.
In her spare time, Gemma’s husband and three children are her main priority, and much like the rest of the Delamere Manor team, Gemma’s love of animals shines through in her care for her six horses and three dogs.
